Staying Put in New Canaan is a non-profit organization founded in 2008 by and for the people of New Canaan, Connecticut to help senior citizens live happily, independently, and actively in the community as they age in place. We offer support, services, and social connection as follows:
Health and Safety
Support for members to age safely in their homes
Transportation
Rides within New Canaan and to local towns
Social Events
Fun and enriching gatherings and excursions – meet new friends and connect with old ones
Help at Home
Minor home repairs, changing ceiling light bulbs, moving heavy objects and more
Technology
Troubleshooting for computers, TVs, cell phones and other electronic devices
Communication
Stay in touch with members who may be facing issues of loneliness and isolation
Groceries and Errands
Assistance with grocery shopping, pharmacy pick up, post office, etc.
Community Resource
Provide education, advice and referrals for healthy aging
