Our Mission

Staying Put in New Canaan is a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer-supported organization dedicated to giving our seniors the practical means and social support to live their lives to the fullest, safely and confidently, in the New Canaan community.

Tues, Oct. 6, 12 noon: Introduction to the Silver Sneakers Fitness Program
Halo Studios. Tour this new facility dedicated to health and wellness and learn about how you may be eligible for a free fitness program through your health plan. Light Lunch. Free. RSVP.

Wed, Oct. 7, 10:30 am: The Yellow Dot Program, Lapham.
Come sign yourself (and your car) up to be part of a national system which provides drivers' vital health information to first responders in the event of a car-related emergency. Free. RSVP.

  • Sat, Oct. 3, 9 am - 12 pm: Paper Shredding Day at Bankwell, 208 Elm Street. Discard those old documents! Limit: 3 bankers' boxes (dimensions: 18" x 18").
