Staying Put in New Canaan’s 2023 Annual Meeting

Members, donors, volunteers and friends joined us for our 2023 Annual Meeting on Wednesday, October 11.  The event opened with a review of Staying Put’s accomplishments this past year and a look toward our future goals.  Our guest speaker, Dr. Edward H. Schuster, M.D., Cardiologist, offered a thoughtful, informative, and humorous presentation:

“How to Live to be 110

A copy of the handout provided by Dr. Schuster is included below along with a video of the presentations.

Tour of The Little Red Schoolhouse with Ruth Kelley

The Little Red Schoolhouse was built in 1870 and operated until 1957.  It is now managed by the New Canaan Historical Society.  Ruth Kelley who was a pupil there and grew up in the home next door to the school, led the tour and gave a nice presentation as to what it was like to attend school in this one-room building.
